Bad whether withdrawing from Spain

Bad whether has visited Spain for the last few days. Even the Canary Islands were on alert because of heavy rains.
Though storms are withdrawing, temperatures remain low in many areas, with night-time lows in some areas falling to -10ºC.
All these snow falls and blizzards caused lots of trouble in Spain, since our welfare State does not include sufficiently prepared infrastructures.
Up to 50 mountain passes remained closed; lots were only open to vehicles with tyre chains. Power outages, traffic information services collapse, outstanding energy use, etc. Even several people were injured in a southern town (Almería), when a canopy collapsed under the weight of the snow.
Anyhow, welfare State already warned us: take care of yourselves.

Excerpt from actual Traffic recomendations:

  • Take tyre chains.
  • Take coats and gloves, charge cell phones batteries, fill your fuel tanks.
  • Try to keep informed.
  • Do not travel.

Traffic General Director does not like traffic happening.
