Spanish Minister for Environment said yesterday that current drought in Spain is the
worst drought ever.
It is reported that rains are at a 15 years minimum. It is not reported the amount of raining in the previous 4.500.000.000 years.
Nevertheless, Spanish
government is adopting measures to cope with this issue. Main measures consiste of:
- Compelling citizens to pay taxes, deduct civil servants salaries, and spend the rest in infrastructures not decided by people affected.
- Penalizing citizens who do not use their water as the government says.
- Rising agricultural financial assistance, in order to
- prevent poor countries from selling their products in Spain, and
- helping farmers to keep producing products that people are not interested in.

Here in Murcia (the city where never rains) we usually tell: "Be water my friend"

As far as the water is yours, you can do whatever you feel like, be it watering, drinking or selling.
Problem arises when one guy sitting in a chair decides what YOU should do with YOUR private stuff.
