Minister for Environment says 'worst drought ever'

Spanish Minister for Environment said yesterday that current drought in Spain is the worst drought ever.
It is reported that rains are at a 15 years minimum. It is not reported the amount of raining in the previous 4.500.000.000 years.
Nevertheless, Spanish government is adopting measures to cope with this issue. Main measures consiste of:
  1. Compelling citizens to pay taxes, deduct civil servants salaries, and spend the rest in infrastructures not decided by people affected.
  2. Penalizing citizens who do not use their water as the government says.
  3. Rising agricultural financial assistance, in order to
    1. prevent poor countries from selling their products in Spain, and
    2. helping farmers to keep producing products that people are not interested in.

Here in Murcia (the city where never rains) we usually tell: "Be water my friend"

Es cierto. En Murcia es mejor construir campos de golf que beber agua.

As far as the water is yours, you can do whatever you feel like, be it watering, drinking or selling.

Problem arises when one guy sitting in a chair decides what YOU should do with YOUR private stuff.
